| Description: | This site is located some kilometers SW of Paternò in a private property at the border of the valley of the Simeto River. Degassing occurs from many small vents, sometimes from small mud volcanoes but usually from bubbling waters into cm-size water pools. From Paternò take the road from the old railway station towards Sferro. After about 1km take the road that heads to Contrada Fata, and after another kilometer there is a gate to the left, open during the working hours, and a dirty roads that leads you to the degassing area. |
